CHANGING MY DIRECTION

Choosing to start a blog based on fashion, decor, travel and all things beautiful, wasn’t very difficult for me. I have been interested in almost every cliché (include watching the sun set) since the day I turned 13.

But to start a blog and take a leap of faith, into pursuing something I love, didn’t come as easily. I am currently in middle of my last set of exams for my LLB degree (Bachelors of Law).

My path was pretty set out for me when I began University in 2012, as I had decided that I was going to be a lawyer come hell or high water. Get good grades, apply to law firms, get articles, pass my Bar exams and become an attorney for the next 30 years.

The problem is I chose law for all the wrong reasons. Money, measurable success, and a stable old-fashioned career.

After a few years of personal growth at University this decision no longer sits well with me. I have always been creative and there are so many things that I want to achieve in my life other than sit in a stuffy court room all day or be someone’s coffee bitch. I want to explore all my options, and be successful (whatever that means) doing something that makes me happy. Something that doesn’t feel like I’m working. I believe that you can do anything you want to, and that all things are possible, no matter how far-fetched they may be.

So after a long 5 years of studying law I have decided to put all my efforts into doing what I love. Whether this is the biggest mistake I am yet to make or a pinnacle moment in my life, I have no idea. But, the possibilities are endless and the freedom that this choice has given me is incredible. I am filled with excitement and cannot wait to see what my future has in store.

This blog will be a source of my inspiration, and hopefully that of others too. From fashion and decor, to beauty and travel, I hope to bring a little beauty into everyone’s life.
